The Pines Resort & Marina: Much of the outdoor and water footage was filmed around The Pines Resort area, where the dock scenes and boat launches take place. The Loon's Nest Cabin: The iconic vacation cabin where the Ripley and Craig families stayed was actually a studio set constructed on the backlot at Universal Studios Hollywood, designed to match the rustic architecture of the Ducey's cabins.
